ORIGIN
Ceramics came before the clinic.
His mother was a dental technician, and Carlos Saiz grew up in a family environment connected to dental ceramics. Moulds, brushes, kilns, proportion and light were part of his visual education long before he practised dentistry.
That background helps explain why shape, texture, naturalness and respect for the tooth remain central to his work.

A clinical career beginning in 2001, with an independent public record since 2011.
Carlos Saiz opened his first clinic in 2001. Years later, his work in aesthetic dentistry and no-prep veneers also appeared in national media. In 2011, GQ España and BellezaPura were already publishing about treatments without reducing the natural teeth.
Press coverage does not mark the beginning of his career. It provides independent evidence that this clinical approach was already public more than a decade ago.

CLINICAL JUDGEMENT
The technique adapts to the tooth.
Historical sources show a consistent approach: no-prep veneers and less intervention when the case permits, first with the materials of the period and later with contemporary ceramics, digital diagnosis and current protocols.
No-prep veneers are not a universal solution. Tooth position, volume, colour, bite, gums and the intended aesthetic result determine whether no preparation, minimal preparation or another option is appropriate.
SAIZ formalises this judgement in its Preservation Standard and links it to a public registry of traceable clinical publications.

FROM FOUNDER TO SYSTEM
From a personal way of working to shared clinical judgement.
Carlos Saiz founded SAIZ, now present in Barcelona, Madrid and Marbella. His personal clinical practice is concentrated in Marbella; Madrid and Barcelona conduct their own initial assessments within shared clinical, design and care criteria.
His role is to establish a judgement that can be understood, documented and applied throughout SAIZ. The Preservation Standard makes part of that judgement explicit.
