After qualifying in dentistry in 2001, Carlos began clinical practice in Barcelona. He wanted to explore how to create brighter smiles while preserving healthy tooth structure.

By 2007, aesthetic dentistry had become a defined clinical direction within a professional journey that began in Barcelona in 2001. The idea that continues to define his work is to improve a smile while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. Over time, ultra-thin ceramic veneers, individual case selection and close coordination with ceramics became central to the work.

He was looking for a way to transform a smile with very thin ceramics while preserving natural tooth structure whenever the clinical situation allowed. That search took him outside Spain to study materials and techniques that were still unusual in aesthetic dentistry at the time.

In 2011, GQ España and BellezaPura published features about Carlos Saiz and Lumineers, a branded no-prep veneer system used at that time. These sources document continuity of the no-prep approach; they do not establish that the 2011 materials and protocols are identical to today’s ultra-thin veneers. The historical archive also preserves later coverage from Spanish media between 2014 and 2015.
The relevance of those pieces is continuity: aesthetic dentistry, minimal intervention, naturalness and patient experience appear repeatedly as the practice evolves.

What began in a neighbourhood practice stopped being local. Results, patient recommendations and press interest brought people from across Barcelona and then from other cities. In 2011, GQ and BellezaPura documented that stage of the story and the growing interest in a more conservative way of approaching veneers.

As more patients travelled for assessment and treatment, expansion became a way to bring the same clinical judgement closer to them. The practice grew from its neighbourhood roots to an established presence in Barcelona, followed by Madrid and Marbella. At the same time, newer ceramics including lithium disilicate, individual design and technology moved the focus away from any single technique and towards the right decision for each patient.
